Phoenix, Arizona entrepreneur Tyler Gill drops his second music project of the year under Tyrann Mathieu’s record label Above The Top Era. This five track EP titled “Free” is a great change of pace for hip hop listeners. The sound is very catchy and surprisingly soothing. This isn’t your typical rap or hip hop project. There is something different about this sound and the way Tyler presents his work.
The project opens with a record called “Free” ft. The Kaleidoscope Kid. This record exemplifies a soulful feel mixed with an urban sound. It provides great energy and vibes to start your listening session off right. This song is followed by four other records that all have a similar yet different feel, which is to stay calm and collected, but go get it.
This body of work is a little slower than Tyler’s debut release “Coast 2 Coast” featuring Sincerely Collins, who was also featured in our Fresh Artist Friday series, but it shows diversity. For listeners seeking true content and substance, this project offers just that. From clean visuals to a unique sound, keep your eyes glued to this guy. It’s only a matter of time. Not only does he sound different, but you get the sense that he runs his operation differently from most independent artists. Look for Tyler Gill to be a household name sooner than later.
