The hip hop community is grieving after another tragic loss. Rapper Black Rob (born Robert Ross in Buffalo, NY) from Bad Boy Records has passed away at the age of 51. He suffered a series of strokes in 2015 and had been in and out of the hospital prior to his death. His untimely passing follows DMX’s, adding onto the loss the hip hop world is feeling. Tributes poured in from former Bad Boy label mates after the news about Black Rob's death broke. Mark Curry, a former Bad Boy rapper, and producer Mike Zombie have started a GoFundMe to help pay for some of Black Rob’s medical bills and lay him to rest. Black Rob will be remembered for his hit song Whoa! and his pioneering debut album Life Story. His legacy will live on in his music, former label mates, and fans all around the world. Rest in peace Black Rob.
